Daily Scripture & Questions:
Leviticus 14-15 How could the clean-unclean codes help teach people about the parallel between ritual purity and moral purity?
Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:
Read Leviticus 14:1-9. Leprosy in the Old Testament times included lots of different skin diseases. God wanted to make sure the diseases were not passed on to others. Do our bad attitudes and bitter spirits "infect" other people? How can we be cleansed from these "diseases"?
Biblical Prayer Focus:
Lamentations 2:18-19 Their heart cried to the Lord. O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears stream down like a torrent day and night! Give yourself no rest, your eyes no respite! Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the night watches! Pour out your heart like water before the presence of the Lord! Lift your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street.
As the anguish of the fall of Jerusalem caused people to earnestly pray, let us pour out our hearts like water and lift our hands for the lives of our children. Remember as well the defenseless children, born and unborn, asking the Lord to protect them and provide for them.
