Numbers 1-2 Many of us have little patience for lists of names and numbers.  What encouragement is there from knowing that God keeps perfect records of us?  How is your "meeting with God" at the center of the encampment of your life?  What could help to keep your life properly "centered" around meeting with God?" 

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:
Read Numbers 2:1-2. (Try to find a picture of how the tribes of the nation of Israel were placed around the tent of meeting when they were in camp.)  God organized Israel so that the Tent of Meeting was always in the middle of everything.  How have you organized your life to keep God at the center every day?

Biblical Prayer Focus:
II Thessalonians 2:13-14 But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Give thanks for your personal salvation. Then give thanks for those who have come to faith through your witness. Ask the Lord for more opportunities to be a “firstfruit” by sharing the gospel with others.
