Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:
Read Numbers 27:12-23. The people's grumbling spirit led to Moses striking the rock rather than speaking to it the way God commanded. Why should Moses be held responsible for his actions even though the people stirred him up to it?

Biblical Prayer Focus:
Isaiah 64:1-4 Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence— as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil— to make your name known to your adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at your presence! When you did awesome things that we did not look for, you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence. From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.

Inquire of God, seeking Him and asking Him to reveal His matchless glory among the peoples. Pray with the saints around the world, "Come quickly, Lord Jesus." Ask for help in being patient and waiting for Him, since He is the God Who acts for those who wait for Him.
