Daily Scripture & Questions:
I Kings 5:1-6:38; II Chronicles 2:1-3:17 As Solomon builds the temple, what are the evidences that the process of the building itself was to be honorable to God as well as the finished product of the temple?  Results are important . . . but how we achieve them matters as well.

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:
Read II Chronicles 2:1-10. Why can no building ever really be God's house? If God did not live there, what was the temple's purpose? What happened in the temple when Jesus died (see Matthew 27:51)?

Biblical Prayer Focus:
Daniel 9:17-19 Now therefore, O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O Lord, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary, which is desolate. O my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations, and the city that is called by your name. For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.

We cry out, not for merely earthly Jerusalem, but for the Church of the LORD around the world. Plea for the persecuted church. Ask on behalf of the weakened and ineffectual churches. Ask God to break through!
