Psalm 26:1-12, 40:1-17, 58:1-11, 61:1-62:12, 64:1-10 Are your closest friends those who will build you up or tear you down as a follower of Jesus Christ (Psalm 26)? Has God given you an "open ear" (Psalm 40:6)? If not, is that something that you should pray for? When we pray for Jesus' soon return, we are also asking that God would judge the earth righteously. Keep this in mind as you read the psalms of great victory. Note how often there is a theme of betrayal in the lies of an enemy. Give God your heart, especially the deep ruins of betrayal that so many face at one time or another.

Ask the Lord not to let the unbelievers pretend that He is not there. Plead for Him to show such power and His majesty that people everywhere would realize that they are but mere humans. Ask Him to give a spirit of humility to our governmental leaders.
