Daily Scripture & Questions:
Leviticus 11-13 While it is hard to know the rationale for these clean-unclean distinctions, what do you think the purpose was for God's people then? These restrictions are now removed (see Acts 10:9-28).
Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:
Read Leviticus 11:1-8. Israel had very clear rules about clean and unclean animals. God gave them these rules to teach them about being careful in being right with God. Acts 10:9-28 tells about how God made it clear that we can now eat anything we want. But we should still be very careful to be right with God. How can we do that every day?
Biblical Prayer Focus:
Psalm 16:7-8 I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
Adore the Lord for giving us His Word and His Spirit. He uses these to teach us His ways. Ask Him to reveal to you if His Spirit has been trying to instruct you in some way, perhaps in applying His Word in a specific manner. Express your desire that the Lord be front and center in your life today.
