Numbers 31:1-32:42 God will take care of His own. Read Romans 12:17-21 about how we are to deal with vengeance today. Why would it seem that Reuben and Gad were happy to "get their own" and then abandon the rest of the people of God? Does that kind of thing still happen today?

Read Numbers 32:20-27. The tribes of Reuben and Gad were going to settle in the land of Gilead. They were allowed to do so as long as they promised what? If they didn't, what does verse 23 tell us what would happen?

Pray for more prayer -- in individual lives, marriages, families, and churches. Ask the Lord to make sure you are not seeking Him while you have unforgiveness and angry bitterness in your heart toward others, especially other believers. Plead with God to draw those you love into a deeper prayer life with Him.
