Daily Scripture & Questions:
Leviticus 5-7 What additional insights do you find in these chapters? How does the requirement of holiness point to the holiness of Christ (see Hebrews 7:26-28)? How do the sacrifices prefigure His sacrifice once-for-all (see Hebrews 10:1-10)?
Family Devotions—Scripture & Question:
Read Leviticus 6:8-13. Under the old covenant, there always had to be more sacrifices because they didn't really take care of sin. They, instead, pointed forward to the one sacrifice of Jesus. When was Jesus sacrificed for our sins?
Biblical Prayer Focus:
Psalm 43:1-3 Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me! For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you rejected me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!
We battle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers (see Ephesians 6:12). Ask the Lord for protection and take up the full armor of God in preparation for the day ahead. Seek God's help in "letting go" of the grief you feel over the betrayal of others. Implore Him to let you see light and truth as you live for His glory and in His presence today.
