Daily Scripture & Questions:
1 Samuel 9-12 How does God confirm again and again that Saul is the chosen one?  Under the old covenant, the Holy Spirit came upon special people for special purposes. Under the new covenant, the Holy Spirit lives within each believer.  How does the Spirit's presence change things for Saul (see 10:6,9)?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:
Read I Samuel 11:5-11. The Bible tells us to be angry but to not sin in doing so. Are there things that people do wrong that upset you? How does God want to use you to make things right in those wrong situations?

Biblical Prayer Focus:
Luke 11:9-10 And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

Pray that the LORD will help you, and those you are praying for, be honest with your heart's desires.  Earnestly ask, seek, and knock . . . all the while allowing God to be the ultimate Decider on what is best.
