Daily Scripture & Questions:
Deuteronomy 17:1-20:20  In chapter 18, God promises a line of prophets.  How could they be sure it was a prophet from God?  The first century Jews expected a final prophet who is identified as Jesus in Acts 3:22-24 and 7:37. Are you ever tempted to get your "counsel" for your decisions from places God does not approve?

Biblical Prayer Focus:
Psalm 51:7-12 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Make sure that you have confessed any and all sins the Spirit has revealed to you. Ask the LORD for a clean heart and a right spirit within you. Request a renewed joy in your salvation.
