Isaiah 23:1-27:13 After the oracle concerning Tyre and Sidon (note especially 23:9), chapter 24 talks about the judgment on the whole earth.  The end of chapter 24 through 27 talks a lot about "that day."  What are some of the things that God will do in "that day" (see for instance 24:6-9, 21-23; 26:3-4, 12, 19)?   

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:

Read Isaiah 25:1-9. "In that day" reminds us that God's plans are "formed of old, faithful and sure" (verse 1). What will God swallow up forever? Read also Revelation 21:1-4 and compare that passage to this one in Isaiah.

Biblical Prayer Focus:

Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!
Inquire of the Lord, asking the Spirit to show us if there are any sins in our lives of which we are unaware. As He makes you aware, be quick to repent (turn from) them, confessing your sins by agreeing with God that they are wrong.
