Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:
Read Psalm 37:1-11. What does it mean to "fret"? Why is it not helpful to fret? When do you tend to worry? Let's give those cares to the Lord right now.

Biblical Prayer Focus:
1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Bow your heart and perhaps your knees before the Lord, expressing your humility before Him. Ask Him to show you if there is any thing you are doing to exalt yourself. If so, repent of it. Seek Him so that He can show you where you are carrying anxieties right now (it is easy to pretend that we aren't). Then cast them upon His broad shoulders.
