Daily Scripture & Question:
II Samuel 24:1-25; I Chronicles 21:1-22:19; Psalm 30:1-12 What are the differences between the two accounts?  Can you find out why some of the changes are there?  What do we learn from David's response to God's mercy at the threshing floor of Ornan (Araunah)?  Consider how Psalm 30 fits within the historical context of the purchase of the land for the temple's construction.

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:
Read I Chronicles 21:18-27.  In II Chronicles 3:1, we learn that the place that David bought was Mount Moriah. What happened on this place back in Genesis 17:8-14? Do you see any similarities?

Biblical Prayer Focus:
Hebrews 13:18-19 Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things. I urge you the more earnestly to do this in order that I may be restored to you the sooner.

Make sure you have a clear conscience before the Lord. Ask Him to show you if there are any of your dealings that are less than honorable. Pray for God's blessing on those who are traveling, specially for the purposes of sharing the gospel.
