Daily Scripture & Questions:
Psalm 6:1-10, 8:1-10:18, 14:1-7, 16:1-11, 19:1-14, 21:1-13 Sometimes it feels like God does not see the evil (Psalm 10:14), but He does, and He declares that all have sinned (Psalm 14 is quoted in Romans 3:10-12).  Even in the midst of trouble, the Lord is still our inheritance (see Psalm 16).  Does your appreciation of God's Word compare to David's appreciation of the Law of the Lord in Psalm 19?  Why not spend some time thanking God for His Word?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions:
Read Psalm 6:1-10. Have you ever cried yourself to sleep (see verse 6)? Remember that the Lord hears your prayers and will rescue you at the right time. Now read Psalm 8:3-4 and Psalm 19:1. If it is a clear night, why not go outside with your parents and look at all the stars. How does the bigness of the universe make you feel? Remember you are the apple of God's eye.

Biblical Prayer Focus:
Psalm 39:11-13 When you discipline a man with rebukes for sin, you consume like a moth what is dear to him; surely all mankind is a mere breath! Selah “Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear to my cry; hold not your peace at my tears! For I am a sojourner with you, a guest, like all my fathers. Look away from me, that I may smile again, before I depart and am no more!”

If God's discipline is heavy upon you, stop being stiff-necked. Be teachable and seek the Lord now. Ask Him to hear your cry for His gracious mercy.
