1 Samuel 21:1-24:22 It was clearly told to Saul that he would not remain as king, yet he fights to hold on to his portion, as he thinks it is, even to kill God's anointed, David.  Are we in danger of fighting to hold on to something that God has made clear that it is no longer ours to have?

Read I Samuel 24:1-22. Why wouldn't David hurt Saul (verse 6)? How can you leave room for God to avenge you and not seek your own revenge?

Psalm 36:7-9 How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light.

Rejoice in the covenant faithful love of God – His "HESED.” Rejoice that He gives us far more than we can  imagine. Choose today to hide in the shadow of His wings and pray for that sense of refuge for those you know to be going through turbulent times.
