Deuteronomy 11:1-13:18 Why is it so important to test what people tell us to see if it lines up with the clear teachings of the Bible?  How susceptible are you to be swayed by signs and wonders, even when they support idolatry?

Biblical Prayer Focus:|
Psalm 40:6-8
In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required. Then I said, “Behold, I have come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me: I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”

Though God ordained the sacrificial system in the Old Testament, He was looking for more than just the fulfillment of rituals. Even today, God wants more than having us merely go through the motions. Ask the Lord to help you delight in doing His will. Seek the Spirit's help to remind you of any application He has shown you with which you need to follow through.
