Daily Scripture & Question
Jeremiah 30:1-31:40 After much being said about the coming fall of Jerusalem and the exile into Babylon, these chapters speak mostly of the hope of the restoration of the people of God to the land. Will God make a full end of Israel (30:11)? To what time is Jeremiah referring in chapter 31:1, 27, 38? As is often the case, promises of the restoration are "bigger" than merely the return of the Israelites to the land after the exile. It points to the promises of the new covenant and even what will come after that. What is different about the new covenant according to this passage?
